Job Description Job Description Benefits: Flexible schedule Opportunity for advancement Part-Time Community Support Staff (Youth Age 17) Position Type: Part-Time Hours: 6 hours per week (with opportunity for additional hours as more positions become available in the area) Position Overview: We are seeking a reliable, patient, and supportive individual to work one-on-one with a 17-year-old youth who needs assistance accessing and participating in community activities. This role focuses on promoting independence, confidence, and positive social experiences in a safe and supportive manner. Does prefer to work with someone young. Responsibilities Include: Supporting the individual with community access and participation (e.g., recreational activities, outings, skill-building activities) Encouraging social interaction and appropriate communication skills Assisting with planning and engaging in structured and meaningful activities Providing supervision and guidance to ensure safety in the community Offering positive reinforcement and emotional support Communicating professionally with the family and agency as needed Qualifications: Dependable, patient, and compassionate Comfortable working with teens Ability to engage youth in positive, age-appropriate activities Reliable transportation preferred Ability to pass a DHS background check Prior experience in caregiving, youth work, or support services is a plus (not required) Schedule & Hours: Approximately 6 hours per week Flexible scheduling Additional hours may be available as more positions open in the area Why Join Us: Meaningful, rewarding work Flexible part-time hours Opportunity to increase hours over time Supportive team environment Benefits: Flexible schedule Paid time off Compensation : $21.00-$22.00 per hour
