Sales Engineer - Central Region

Position & Responsibilities:

• Provide customers facing Pre-Sales support and consulting of Telco Systems Carrier Ethernet and NFV Solutions for a variety of communications service provider and carrier customers.
• Responsibility for delivering engineering solutions to the customers that follow pre-established guidelines and initiatives set forth by regional and global management.
• Accountable for the technical assessment of customers solution and needs analysis.
• Work with regional sales and sales engineering teams in planning, design and developing presenting and, delivering advanced technical solutions.
• Work closely with prospects and customers to understand their needs and provide appropriate solutions to meet business and network objectives.
• Ensure service assurance and solution integrity for key strategic customers.
• Work on the RFP/RFI/RFQ received from the customers and partners.
• Running Proof of Concept testing on customer's sites when necessary.
  Requirements:
  • At least five years of progressive, technical experience in a communications service provider or vendor environment.
  • in-depth working knowledge across multiple technical disciplines that include data communications, broadband, IP-VPN, xWDM, MPLS/VPLS, Metro Ethernet, Systems, and LAN/WAN integration.
  • Experience in the design, expertise and implementation of complex Metro Ethernet and MPLS solutions
  • Understanding of routing protocols such as ISIS, OSPF and BGP.
  • Operational experience in an ISP, CSP, MSP or MSO environments
  • MEF-CECP preferred
  • BA/BS degree in a technical field. MBA - a plus
  • High frequent Travel (50-70% of the time)
