Job Description:
Orion Talent, the nation's largest military recruiting firm, is
currently recruiting transitioning or former military professionals
for a Maintenance Superintendent position with a company that
designs, engineers, validates, and manufactures safety-critical
components for partners across automotive, commercial trucks, and
industrial equipment.
Position Details
Location: St. Cloud, MN
Compensation: $90K-$115K salary based on experience + relocation +
$1,500 sign-on bonus.
Shift: 1st Shift Mon-Fri; otherwise as needed if plant/production
shutdown/outage.

Position Description
As the Maintenance Superintendent, you will direct, plan, and
coordinate maintenance operations over all shifts to minimize
equipment downtime and maximize production. Key duties will
include:
--- Develop/maintain effective machinery maintenance program,
including preventive maintenance.
--- Ensure quality of repairs, scheduling of repair work, diagnosis
of equipment problems, and adequate supplies of materials and/or
parts required to complete repairs.
--- Work with production & manufacturing departments to schedule
maintenance & repairs.
--- Plan, organize, and assign work to maintenance
supervisors/technicians to ensure efficient use of labor hours,
materials, and equipment consistent with production and profit
requirements.
--- Maintain close observation over maintenance operations to
ensure proper maintenance methods.
--- Select and train supervisors/technicians in maintenance
operations to staffing & objectives are met.
--- Evaluate work performance and counsel and coach employees to
maintain efficient work performance.
--- Oversee the development and operation of the maintenance data
systems, reporting, inventory control, equipment history, and
maintenance cost tracking.
--- Develop plans for operating costs, labor, and equipment
replacement for overhaul and shutdowns.
--- Comply with policies and regulations, coaching
employees/initiating disciplinary actions, as required.
--- Enforce the proper use of safety equipment and housekeeping for
a safe work environment.
--- Coach employees to reinforce safe work practices.
--- Maintain awareness of improved operational methods, production
processes or equipment which improve quality and efficiency and
reduce cost.
--- Maintain communications across all maintenance shifts with
other departments for efficient operations.
Position Requirements
--- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
--- Previous leadership experience or potential with ideally 3-5
years of maintenance experience.
--- Ability to organize, direct, and motivate people.
--- Good communication, decision-making, attention to detail,
ability to learn, and motivation to grow.
