At Bayer you have the opportunity to be part of a culture where we value the passion of our employees to innovate and give them the power to change.Seed Growth AdvisorYOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIESAs a Seed Growth Advisor for South Dakota , you will develop and support Bayers seed treatment business and business planning, focusing on product positioning, stewardship, application, and knowledge transfer for the entire Acceleron/Seed Growth and BioAg business within the geography and across Brands. You will be the resident expert on seed treatment product and application topics, working with the Field Sales Representatives on business/account planning, responsible for demand forecasting, product knowledge/transfer to the seed teams, and account management for regional BioAg distributors that do not have dedicated chemistry sales to support their business.The primary responsibilities of this role, Seed Growth Advisor, are to:

  • Lead product training and positioning for assigned crop protection & seed & trait sales teams, in addition to licensees in the South Dakota geography;
  • Manage BioAg regional distribution account planning and local market demand creation;
  • Provide application and basic equipment support for downstream treaters, develop and maintain relationship with top 10-15 accounts;
  • Support and manage product quality claims as necessary;
  • Share competitive intelligence with relevant sales and marketing teams;
  • Work collaboratively with sales reps to develop business plans and support for retail and seed-only dealers in assigned geography;
  • Assist in local field trials with key distributor and seed customers;
  • Participate in field days and trade shows to promote the seed treatment portfolios;
  • Ensure awareness and support of all seed treatment stewardship related topics;
  • Assist in product demand planning and forecasting with assigned crop protection sales team;
  • Collaborate with sales managers on go-to-market implementation monitor seed dealer and grower interactions, coach the sales force on all topics related to seed treatments;
  • Monitor the timeliness and effectiveness of go-to-market plan execution; track KPIs (market share, awareness, purchase intent, usage) against plan.WHO YOU AREYour success will be driven by your demonstration of our LIFE values. More specifically related to this position, Bayer seeks an incumbent who possesses the following:Required Qualifications:
    • Bachelors degree;
    • Minimum of 5 years experience in agriculture;
    • Seed Growth product and industry knowledge;
    • Seed Treatment application knowledge and ability to train treaters;
    • Ability to train internal and external stakeholders on product portfolio;
    • Strong verbal communication skills;
    • Ability to develop strong account relationships;
    • Business acumen/sales experience;
    • Ability to be agile and manage large geography;
    • Ability to work across and support multiple stakeholders (multi-seed brands and seed companies);
    • Ability to pass driving record background check (i.e. moving violations, accidents, License suspension, etc.);
