Job Description:
We have a full time Research and Development Associate position
available supporting our Research and Development team open in St.
Cloud, Minnesota. We hold every member of our team to a high

person who is eager to learn and grow as a member of our team -
someone who wants to design, lead, perform and report on
experiments using microbiology and molecular techniques as well as
other applicable methodologies leading to new products or process
improvements. In this role, you can expect to:
- Design, propose and lead technical development, prototype
optimization, design validation and transfer of new products to
other functional units (Production/QC).
- Maintain an understanding of regulations and scientific methods
used in molecular and microbial detection and product development,
recognizing critical characteristics of Microbiologics
products.
- Participate in projects for the development and production of
products for customer requests that do not fall within the scope of
any current product lines and/or requires the capability of the
department.
- Communicate with customers regarding results and custom
specifications when necessary.
- Identify, evaluate and recommend innovative technologies and
process improvements that enhance product quality, performance or
customer experience.
- Document research to support new product design controls,
validations, verification, qualification, and
specification/performance and statistical analysis as they apply to
the company's products and according to policies and
procedures
- Anticipate, test and resolve issues pertaining to routine &
non-routine product quality, usage and performance.
- Compile data and present results, analysis, and recommendations
for new products.
- Technical writing as required for product transfer. Who is

is what we are looking for: Requirements:
- Four-year degree in relevant field (e.g., biology,
microbiology, virology, cell biology molecular biology, food
science, bioengineering).
- 2-5 years of related laboratory experience.
- Technical understanding of advanced molecular biology
techniques. Preferences:
- S. degree in relevant field.
- 6+ years of Laboratory experience working with cell culture or
microorganisms and/or molecular biology techniques in diagnostic,
clinical, manufacturing, food safety or other commercial
environment.
- 4+ years of product development experience, including assay
optimization, reagent development, integration and testing,
technology transfer to production/QC and necessary
documentation.
- Technical understanding and extensive hands-on experience with
advanced molecular biology techniques.
