Inspired by its Italian namesake meaning “half and half,” Mezzo Mezzo transitions from a morning coffee shop serving locally roasted coffee, pastries, and breakfast sandwiches to an evening pizzeria with a full-service bar. We proudly serve Spyhouse Coffee, known for its high-quality sourcing and craft roasting. This role is perfect for someone who values hospitality, consistency and great coffee. Prepare and serve Spyhouse Coffee beverages to brand standards Deliver warm, professional service to hotel guests and local customers Operate espresso machines, grinders and POS systems Maintain cleanliness and organization of the café and workstations Restock supplies and assist with opening/closing procedures Answer guest questions about menu items and coffee offerings Uphold hotel service standards and food safety guidelines What do you bring to the role? Must have basic knowledge of coffee and specialty coffee drinks Basic mathematical skills necessary to operate a cash register, make change, total guest checks, count total bank, prepare cash drops, total all other charges, and understand portion sizes Ability to multi-task and self-motivate Basic English language writing skills necessary for completion of requisitions, balance sheets, and vouchers Sufficient manual dexterity in hands in order to use a knife to make garnishes, pick up glassware and bottles, scoop ice, mix drinks, and reach overhead to retrieve stock Ability to read, speak, and understand the English language in order to communicate with guests and take orders Ability to obtain any government required license or certificate What's in it for you?
