Headquartered in Minneapolis, our organization employs more than 1,200 physicians, 300 advanced practice providers and 2,200 health professionals and staff throughout Minnesota and beyond.Join us on a mission to advance medicine.CentraCare Health and MPhysicians seeks a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to join the MPhysicians Orthopedic Surgery team in a combination clinical and supervisory role at CentraCare/St. Cloud Hospital, ambulatory surgery center and clinic in St Cloud, MN.Practice Details:This position supervises and manages orthopedic surgery advanced practice providers.Responsibilities include: training and management of APP performance; hiring and recruiting (when applicable) talent; orchestrating skill development for orthopedic surgery APPs; coordinating schedules and approving FTO; completing mid-year and annual performance reviews and goal setting; promoting orthopedic surgery APP career development by encouraging engagement in 1) leadership, 2) scholarly work, 3) education, and 4) clinical expertiseCandidate is responsible for promoting program changes to optimize the efficiency and financial viability of orthopedic surgery NP/PA role.Responsible for managing all call duties including but not limited to: call schedules and rounding coverage, etc.This position is 90% direct patient care which includes: independent clinic, OR and covering practice and trauma call of orthopedic patients.UMPhysicians offers extremely competitive compensation and a market leading benefits package to support all aspects of employee well-being, including physical, emotional, intellectual, social, spiritual, and financial health. Find out more about our benefits here.Qualifications:A graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant or formal Family Nurse Practitioner training program.Eligible or is certified through NCCPA, ANCC or AANP.Licensed or eligible to obtain a license through the MN Board of Medical Practice (PAs) or MN APRN license with prescriptive authority through the MN Board of Nursing (NPs).Able to meet threshold criteria/qualifications for credentialing and privileges.First Assist Certification or ability to obtain First Assist privileging (applies to Nurse Practitioner candidates only).One or more years of clinical leadership/personnel management experience.At least 3 years of full-time experience in orthopedic surgery or surgical subspecialtyExcellent mentoring and organizational skills. Knowledge of coaching, staffing, performance evaluation, and scheduling. Ability to engage and motivate professionals. Demonstrated ability to work independently in a clinical setting; superior decision-making skills; superior written and verbal communication skills.Ability to critique, provide insight and develop creative solutions to practice changes which promote NP/PA practice and productivity. Must effectively communicate with multidisciplinary team, directors and administrators regarding NP/PA practice concerns.Preferred Qualifications:Fellowship or CAQ in Orthopedics.Ability to grow practice/retain team by training and coaching NP/PAs to provide exceptional patient care.St. Cloud, MNLocated on the banks of the Mississippi River one hour from Minneapolis/St. Paul, St. Cloud is a family-oriented community with an area population of 125,000.
