Position: Insides Sales and Service ManagerReports to: Director of Sales and MarketingHours: Salary + Bonus - 40 hours per weekCompany ProfileLocated in the heart of Central Minnesota, Virnig Manufacturing has been designing and producing skid steer loader attachments since 1989. From engineering and cutting raw materials to machining, welding and painting the finished product, all steps of the manufacturing process are done in-house. By integrating the latest manufacturing technologies and using top-of-the-line materials, Virnig has distinguished themselves as a cut above the rest in the manufacturing industry.--Position SummaryVirnig Manufacturing is seeking a sales and service manager to oversee inside sales, customer service and technical service staff. Virnig's committed inside sales and service team is a key differentiator. These positions interact with the outside sales team and directly with dealers and end users daily. It's important the Manager is deeply involved with the communications and processes necessary to provide excellent service. Customer needs are ever-changing; identifying knowledge gaps, modifying techniques and revising processes is essential to provide the service Virnig customers expect.The inside sales and service manager has extensive knowledge of accounts and is the voice of the customer. This expertise is utilized to make sound decisions, carry out sales campaigns, assist in budgeting and forecasting, and to provide insight for product development. It's critical to work closely with marketing, engineering, and production so that customer feedback is universally shared and understood across departments. The Manager is also the lead in developing programs to support outside sales by interacting with dealers between visits and to find and cultivate leads.ResponsibilitiesManage the entire sales process from quote to shipping including processing of quotes and sales orders, pricing verification and product availability.Manage the entire warranty process including determining eligibility, organizing repairs and confirming correct documentation.Champion a commitment to make the Virnig customer experience a competitive advantage. Use creative problem-solving skills to ensure customer satisfaction.Qualify and manage sales leads submitted via the Virnig website, emails and phone calls.Research competitor products to assist in product development and deepen department knowledge.Work closely with other departments to share customer feedback and competitor information in a timely manner.Continuously identify, create, implement and train on processes to improve department efficiency, accuracy and knowledge.Recruit, select, train, coach, and develop direct reports. Communicate job expectations, plan, monitor, appraise and review job performance. Enforce policies and procedures.Other duties as assigned. Work overtime as needed.SkillsActive Listening - Giving full attention to what other people are saying, taking time to understand the points being made, asking questions, not interrupting and challenge when appropriate.Communicating with Persons Outside Organization - Communicating with people outside the organization, representing the organization to customers and other external sources.Communicating with Supervisors, Peers, and Subordinates--- Providing information to supervisors, co-workers, and subordinates by telephone, in written form, email, virtually or in person.Organizing, Planning, and Prioritizing Work - Ability to multi-task and work on a number of projects at one time while keeping deadlines at the forefront.Making Decisions and Solving Problems--- Analyzing information and evaluating results to choose the best solution and solve problems.Creative and Original Thinking--- Developing, designing, and creating new applications, ideas, or relationships, including artistic contributions.Updating and Using Relevant Knowledge--- Keeping up-to-date with the industry and applying new knowledge to your job.RequirementsMinimum of 3 years experience developing and managing an inside sales/customer service team.Education and/or experience with agriculture and construction equipment and parts, especially skid loaders and compact tractors helpful.Strong computing skills including experience with Microsoft Office required. Familiarity with CRM applications highly valued.Bachelor's Degree in Marketing or related business area preferred. Consideration given to successful progressive experience.Ability to travel for trade shows and key account visits with the outside sales team.BenefitsFamily owned and operated with a team-oriented culture.
