Together, our teammates create value in specialty care by aligning physicians, health plans and health systems around a common goal: delivering on the quadruple aim of high-quality outcomes and a better experience for patients and providers, all at a lower total cost of care.As part of Optum, we participate in an integrated care delivery system that enables us to support our partners as they navigate a complex healthcare environment, Only SCA Health has a dynamic group of physician-driven, specialty care businesses that allows us to customize solutions, no matter the need or challenge:We connect patients to physicians in new and differentiated ways as part of Optum and with our new Specialty Management Solutions business.We have pioneered a physician-led, multi-site model of practice solutions that restores physician agency by aligning incentives to support growth and transition to value-based care.We lead the industry in value-based payment solutions through our Global 1 bundled payment convener, that provides easy predictable billing to patients.We help physicians address everything beyond surgical procedures, including anesthesia and ancillary service lines.The new SCA Health represents who we are today and where we are goingand the growing career opportunities for YOU.Accountabilities / Responsibilities:Able to perform all duties of a registered nurseAssumes a leadership role in the provision of quality nursing care for patients receiving services within the nursing departmentSupervises, coordinates and delegates nursing activities in the facilityCommunicates directly with the health care team to provide quality patient careMaintains an efficient and safe schedule for patient care, meeting patient needs and budgeting requirementsCoordinates with surgeons/physicians a general plan of care for patients, utilizing problem solving and decision makingCollaborates with materials management and staff to ensure proper equipment and supplies are available for casesAssists in the hiring, orientation, training, evaluation and discipline of nursing/clinical personnel in collaboration with Human Resources/CEO/Clinical DirectorAble to directly supervise and delegate job responsibilities to maintain a positive and effective work environmentProvides written and verbal evaluations once a year to team members and meets with each teammate frequently as need arisesContinually assesses the quality of care given to patients including physical, psychological, social and spiritual needsEnforces policies and procedures which are concurrent with current standards of practice and recognizes need for changeMeets and participates in meetings as established by Team, Clinical Director and CEOParticipates in new equipment and materials education programs and in-servicesEstablishes, monitors and evaluates a safe, therapeutic environment for all patients and health care providersWorks with CEO and Materials Management to develop and implement a yearly budget planMeets and communicates with staff regularlyActively assists QI in discovering, development and implementation of nursing activities, using the root cause analysisReports any patient injury/grievance to Medical Director, QI/RM and the appropriate team member and assists QI/RM in the resolution of grievanceAssists preceptor in establishing an orientation program for new personnelReports needed repair of instruments/equipment to appropriate personnelWorks with RL Solutions, OneNet, HST/Pathways and HST echartPerforms all other duties as assignedQualifications:Graduate of an Accredited School of NursingThree to five years of OR and/or medical surgical nursing experience and managerial/leadership nurse experience preferredSuccessful completion of Basic Life Support (BLS) or Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) within 6 months of employment or documentation of current BLS/BCLS certificationSuccessful completion of Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) within 6 months of employment or documentation of current ACLS/PALS certificationMin: USD $90.00/Yr.
