Applications Engineer III, Operational Technology (OT) -
Mankato, MN This is a full-time, exempt level position. Location
This is an onsite position with a preference for Mankato, MN. If
qualifications are met, we may consider Frankfort, Indiana or
select Canada locations. Position Summary As a key member of our
Operational Technology (OT) team, you will help advance the
standardization and innovation of OT distributed control system
(DCS) and manufacturing execution system (MES) applications
architecture, support, and engineering globally. You will work
closely with OT engineers and Process Automation (PA) engineers,
and collaborate with key business segments, our Information
Technology department, and your global OT peers to ensure the
successful delivery of OT solutions across ADM operations. What
You'll Do Direct, manage, and maintain the OT DCS/MES applications
ecosystem globally Partner with PA and application owners to
establish and communicate DCS/MES applications architecture and
procedure standards Drive the development and implementation of OT
DCS/MES applications architecture strategy, with a focus on
optimizing resources and meeting plant up-time Service Level
Agreements (SLAs) Serve as the key OT liaison for Enterprise
Resource Planning (ERP) systems integration efforts for MES Partner
with PA to maintain compliance for DCS/MES-related licensing Manage
the collection of application requirements, techniques, and
controls across functional departments to identify problem areas
and deliver operationally efficient solutions Follow OT project
methodology guidelines and standards, and drive team adoption
Coordinate application activities with OT/PA managers to help
prevent plant interruptions during upgrades, patching, and similar
events Participate in vendor evaluations; review functional and
overall application design; and complete technical planning to
improve systems productivity and efficiency Manage third-party
suppliers and contractors where applicable Travel and on-call
availability are expected as part of this role Position
Qualifications: An associate degree or higher in a technical
discipline (such as computer science or engineering) required A
bachelor's degree or higher in a technical discipline such as
computer science or engineering preferred 7 years of experience
supporting enterprise-level technology operations and services,
including managing the lifecycle, maintenance, and upgrades of
network or control system technologies 5 years of experience
working in a manufacturing environment Technical experience with
Process Automation systems, including platforms such as Rockwell,
Emerson DeltaV, or Valmet (NovaTech) D/3 Demonstrated experience
managing the lifecycle, maintenance, and upgrades of DCS/MES
applications Strong understanding of process automation and control
applications, as well as HMI software platforms (such as Rockwell
Automation/Plant PAx, Siemens, Honeywell, Wonderware, Emerson
DeltaV, Valmet D/3, or similar) Strong communication skills, with
the ability to convey technical concepts to both technical and
non-technical audiences Proven ability to manage multiple projects
and adapt effectively to changing priorities Strong documentation
and organizational skills Experience supporting plant operations
and 24/7 operating requirements Demonstrated ability to lead by
example and deliver on commitments Comfort working with
