The Principal Accountant will support a key business unit generating $60M-$70M in annual revenue. This is a highly visible individual contributor role reporting directly to the local Controller. You'll have meaningful ownership over core accounting functions and month-end close. The role provides a blend of accounting and analytical work, with exposure to FP&A and cost accounting. Key Responsibilities for the Principal Accountant: Lead general ledger activities including journal entries, accruals, and account reconciliations. Manage month-end and quarter-end close processes in coordination with finance and operations teams. Prepare and review financial statements and internal reports. Ensure compliance with internal controls and corporate accounting standards. Partner with site leadership on cost tracking, inventory accounting, and operational reporting. Support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis in collaboration with the FP&A team. Participate in special projects and provide ad hoc financial support for business initiatives. Qualifications for the Principal Accountant: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Strong general ledger accounting experience, preferably within a manufacturing environment. Deep understanding of GAAP and period-close best practices. Proficiency with ERP systems and advanced Excel skills. Comfortable working cross-functionally with operations and finance teams. Highly detail-oriented, self-motivated, and capable of working independently.
