JOB SUMMARY:

The Senior Treasury Analyst position is responsible for CCH system-wide banking and treasury functions relating to operating cash. This role will oversee a wide variety of treasury activities to create or improve all areas of departmental operations. These areas include daily cash management operations, domestic financing and treasury operations, investment management, leasing management, and treasury systems review.

The position will be responsible for the daily oversight of CentraCare's operating reserve pool, pension assets, and Defined Contribution assets. Serves as a liaison with System's investment and banking advisors. Works with and regularly communicates with contracted advisors to monitor reserve and pension asset allocations. Serves as the primary staff liaison in support of the VP, Financial Services/Treasury and the CentraCare Finance and Audit Committee. The Sr. Treasury Analyst will assist leadership in seeking the optimal balance of risk and return for cash and investments in accord with officially endorsed investment guidelines and asset allocations, optimize the use of financing leverage, and minimize financial risk and financing costs.

This position is responsible for oversight of the debt and swap portfolio including routine reporting, support in new issues, preparing for rating agency surveillance, collateral management and lease buy analysis. Responsible for coordination with the Corporate Accounting teams for required audit support and monthly, quarterly and annual reporting obligations.

Primary treasury responsibilities include overseeing daily cash management operations to ensure adequate liquidity while minimizing uninvested cash balances and interest expense. This position will also assist in the management and administration of CCH's various investment portfolios including corporate operating funds and defined benefit pension plans. In addition, this position with manage the equipment leasing portfolio of CCH. Additional responsibilities will include participating in debt financings, daily collateral calls, monthly swap payments, monitoring and reporting annual debt compliance, and special projects as assigned.

This position requires the ability to conceptualize and apply advanced knowledge of cash management techniques, banking practices and oversees the daily cash position. This position is responsible for identifying, analyzing, and implementing process improvements, resolving complex Treasury issues and integrating new divisions, companies and /or merchant conversions into the current daily processes.

This position plays a key role in the company's daily cash management process by performing all cash management functions including monitoring of all bank accounts, funds transfers, wire payments and reviewing of cash receipts and disbursements. This person will be responsible for preparation of the weekly cash forecast, and analyzing and explaining variances and reporting results to management.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required. Master's preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant treasury operations/accounting experience required.
  • 5 years experience in creating and working with computerized spreadsheets and databases, and familiarity with data processing capabilities and procedures required.
  • Previous experience with the placement of debt and experience with other aspects of capital markets are desirable.
  • Knowledge and understanding of fixed income and equity investing is desirable.
    LICENSURES/CERTIFICATIONS:
    • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) preferred.
      QUALIFICATIONS:
      • Knowledge of the principles of Information Management in order to effectively analyze and make decisions.
      • Knowledge of communication skills with ability to listen actively and respond to fellow employees/customers in a timely, competent manner both verbally and non-verbally.
      • Functional knowledge of personal computers and software.
      • Good oral and written communication skills.
      • Ability to present complex analysis in a concise and meaning manner to senior executives.
      • Computer skills include: Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Access). Strong organizational skills to meet departmental timeframes.
      • Proven leadership ability / clear communication skills/ result oriented.
      • Effective at communicating with all levels of the organization including senior management.
      • Successful candidate must have excellent verbal and written communication skills and demonstrate the ability to collaborate effectively with others
